A connection authorises your agent to act in one of your apps: read the inbox, update the sheet, post the message. Connections are made once per agent and then available to everything that agent does, chats and Agent Automations alike.

From the Connections screen

  1. Open Connections and choose Add connection
  2. Search the catalog. There are thousands of apps; type the name and pick yours
  3. Sign in on the app’s own page. Cando never sees your password; you authorise through the app’s official sign-in, and you can grant the scopes it shows you
  4. You land back in Cando with the connection made and its tools live

From a chat

Ask for work that needs an unconnected app and the agent requests it in the conversation; approving takes you through the same sign-in and straight back to the task. See Approving tool access.

Per agent, on purpose

Connections belong to the agent, not to you or to the organization. That’s a feature: your finance agent can reach Stripe while your support agent can’t, and sharing an agent with a colleague shares its capabilities without re-authorising anything. Give a second agent the same app by connecting it there too.

More than one account

The same app can be connected more than once on one agent, so an agent can work across two Gmail inboxes or two Slack workspaces. Add the second account from the app’s row on the Connections screen.
