Credits are how work gets paid for on Cando. Everything an agent does draws on one balance: the thinking (model usage), the doing (tool calls into your connected apps), and the computer it works on (sandbox time). One number to watch, held by your organization.

What spends credits

  • Chat turns. Each reply your agent writes
  • Runs. Each execution of an Agent Automation, with the cost recorded on its row in Agent history
  • Tool calls. Actions in connected apps during either of the above
Nothing spends without leaving a line: the Usage screen shows spend per day, broken down by kind.

Where credits come from

Your plan includes a monthly allowance, and you can buy more at any time from Settings → Billing. Two rules to know:
  • Monthly plan credits expire at the end of each billing cycle
  • Purchased credits top up the same balance for when the allowance isn’t enough
Plans and their allowances are on the plans page.

Who holds the balance

The organization. Agents and members don’t have their own balances, so there’s no juggling: every agent’s work draws down the same pool, and admins see the whole picture in Usage.

Keeping costs in shape

The biggest lever is frequency: an Agent Automation on a five-minute interval runs 288 times a day, so give recurring jobs the slowest cadence that still works. The second is scope: a tight brief that checks something specific costs less than one that reads everything before deciding.
