Some chats are one-offs. Others turn out to be Tuesday’s job, every Tuesday. When a conversation crosses that line, don’t rebuild it: promote the chat into an Agent Automation.

How it works

Tell your agent, in the chat, that you want this to happen on a schedule:
The agent creates the Agent Automation from the conversation and proposes the trigger it heard. Confirm the schedule and you’re done.

What carries over

Promotion keeps what made the chat work:
  • The context. The brief is drawn from what you’ve refined together in the conversation, not from a blank slate
  • The sandbox. Files and structures the agent built during the chat move with it, so the first scheduled run picks up where the conversation left off
From there it’s an ordinary Agent Automation: it appears on the Agent Automations screen, fires on its triggers, and records every run in Agent history.

When to promote

The signal is repetition. If you’ve asked for the same shape of work twice, the third ask should be a trigger. Refine the output in chat first, promote when it’s right, and you’ve turned a good conversation into a standing result.
