The Slack channel puts your agent where your team already talks. Mention it like a colleague and it answers in the thread, with all of its instructions and connections behind it.

Set it up

Open Channels → Slack and pick the route that fits:
  • New Channel. Cando creates a Slack channel for you, named whatever you like (“agent-support”), with the Cando bot already in it. Toggle Make Channel Private if it shouldn’t be open to the workspace
  • Existing Channel. Add the agent to a channel your team already uses
  • Commands. Do it from inside Slack instead: install the Cando Slack bot, invite it to the channels you want, then connect your specific agent by pasting its /cando add command, shown on this tab with your agent’s key filled in
  • Custom App. For workspaces that require their own Slack app, set up the channel under your organization’s own app identity

Talking to your agent

Once connected, mention @Cando in the channel and the agent responds. Anyone in the channel can use it; the conversation happens where everyone can see it, which is exactly the point.

Good to know

  • The channel connects to one agent, so a workspace can have different channels backed by different agents
  • The agent’s work through Slack is on the record in Cando like any other conversation
  • Disconnecting the channel removes the agent from Slack without touching the agent itself
